Lakeport Yacht Club offers monthly mooring buoy rentals as a service to its members.
For the 2024 boating season, month-to-month rentals are being offered through Nov. 30, 2024. All boat owners are required to keep their boats registered, tagged and insured while on a mooring buoy. The mooring field will be closed from Dec. 1, 2024, through April 30, 2025. Our marine insurance does not allow us to store unregistered vessels for any amount of time.
- Moorings can accommodate boats up to 27 feet long. Water depths vary by season.
- Written proof of liability insurance is required. Your policy must name both Lakeport Yacht Club and the City of Lakeport as additional insured parties.
- Current registration and tags, including Lake County quagga mussel sticker, required.
- Additional fees may be imposed for expired documents, abandoned vessels or breakaways.
- You must schedule a boat inspection with the LYC port captain prior to occupying a mooring.
- Club retains right to move or store vessels on- or off-shore for any reason including safety.
Mooring buoy rentals are on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to availability. Some of our mooring buoys may need upgrades or repairs before a boat may be placed.
