Our contracts require renters to provide proof of event insurance before clubhouse access is granted. Please DO NOT pay for event insurance before your rental contract is signed and payment is made.
Homeowners may be able to obtain event insurance through their home insurance agent, though such availability varies by company. Search “event insurance” on your browser’s search engine for examples of online event insurance providers.
For club rentals, “event insurance” means liability insurance with coverage in the amount of $1,000,000 ($1 million) for one person, $1,000,000 for one accident with bodily injury, $1,000,000 for property damage and $2,000,000 general aggregate for the day of the rental.
Proof of insurance is required prior to getting access to the premises. If you request setup or breakdown on another day, event insurance is required for each day you have access.
Important
Lakeport Yacht Club operates on public property under a lease with the City of Lakeport. That means your event insurance policy must name two (2) separate business entities:
Additional insured 1: Lakeport Yacht Club, P.O. Box 313 / 15 Fifth St., Lakeport, CA 95453
Additional insured 2: City of Lakeport, 225 Park St., Lakeport, CA 95453
Please check your event insurance policy closely before making payment to ensure it covers both Lakeport Yacht Club and the City of Lakeport.
